On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Shiva Institute of Pharmacy organized a Cancer Awareness Program in collaboration with AIIMS Bilaspur to sensitize pharmacy students and the local community about cancer prevention and early detection.
The program commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Meenakshi Meenu, Associate Professor,
Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS Bilaspur.
The session covered:
- Common causes and risk factors associated with cancer
- Early symptoms and warning signs
- Preventive strategies and lifestyle modifications
- Importance of regular medical check-ups and screening programs
An interactive discussion session was conducted where participants clarified doubts and discussed preventive healthcare practices.
